FRUITS FROM THE SEED SOWN SOME YEARS AGO:
“The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”. “Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.” (Matt. 13:23; Acts 15:36).
In our last Newsletter, we mentioned that Paul’s travel to Kenya was on the invitation of late Rev. Patrick Nzuki from Kitui County, Kenya. Paul arrived Kenya then in April 1989, and under a tree, in that rural community bound and infested in witchcrafts, they stood for 5 nights, hosting an open-air crusade, declaring the Word of God. On the 6th day, we stood in a shallow river, for 3 hours baptizing 200 men, women, boys and girls who had openly given their lives to Jesus Christ during the crusade.
The seed of the Word of God, sown during the 5 nights crusade, we followed up for another 5 years. Today, we have some of the fruit from the seed sown.
Among those who were baptized is Bishop Shadrack who was then a Youth leader, now the Presiding Bishop of many churches in Kenya.
Another fellow was Paul Mweu who was then in grade 2, now the Pastor of Gospel Assembly church, Kinsyani, Kitui. Another fellow who was at the crusade as an observer said,
“My name is Pastor. Augustine Sani. I can remember very well that when the servant of God was in Kitui the first time (April 1989) he declared that it would rain though it was a dry month.
Indeed, it rained as evidence that indeed the word of God is true and the declaration by his servant was true. This time I was a student doing my last year in secondary school.
Today, I am a preacher having known the lord in 1992. To God be the glory”.
Due to the Ebola virus and Monkey pox outbreak in Uganda, Paul’s visit to Uganda was cancelled but we held two days Online Leadership Training for the Sudanese Pastors.
The Tree under Where it all started

Our Host in Kenya, Rev. Julius Makau:

From Julius Makau:
“Paul’s visit to Kenya was very timely, the reunion after 22+ years of not seeing each other, the brethren were very encouraged more so those who saw him in 1989 the first time he came to visit with us. Some of the brothers have gone to be with the Lord but those who are still alive were very glad for the reunion. The current pastor whom I raised in Kitui church was in grade 2 then and the bishop in charge of the church in Machakos was then a Youth leader. Both him and the wife were baptized by Paul in 1989 in kitui.
Thank you for obeying God’s voice to make a return back to Kenya. We are grateful”.
Pastor John Makau:

Pastor John Makau – Nairobi
This visit in 2025 has not been an exception. Although advanced in age, your passion for souls and wisdom remains unchanged. You were received with enthusiasm and spiritual hunger. The revival meetings in Nairobi, Kitui, and Machakos has left a great impact on our Nation of Kenya.
The atmosphere was charged from Friday to Sunday and we witnessed miracles of salvation, healings from different sickness and diseases. Your session with the bishops and pastors restored hope where you shared personal challenges in the ministry over the years. The wisdom you exhibited to both old and young students through the Zoom meetings left the community and leaders motivated. Your promise to return to Kenya is a testament to the need of your ministry in these last days. May God richly bless you as you continue to use your time and resources to impact the body of Christ all over the world”.

It is truly a joy for me to return to Kenya again after 31 years, to witness God’s transforming presence in Kitui, Machakos and Nairobi.
